Your Voice is your Power

One of the most important tools we possess is our unique voice. It is time for our voices to be used in the service of healing and change. But so many of us are have learned to bury, silence or cover up our authentic voice. What if we trusted our vessel and courageously gave ourselves permission to live and speak our truth? What if the world was calling us to become voices of change? What if our voice was necessary for the healing of our world?

Our bodies hold memories of our prior experiences and our voice is one of the most powerful ways to re-regulate our nervous system back to its natural, relaxed state. We can use our voices to shift and transform anxiety…we can tap into and utilize the inherent wisdom of our bodies and voices to calm our nervous systems and bring us to states of grounded clarity and focus. We can learn simple techniques that come to us from both ancient practices and through the lens of modern sound and brain science to assist us in living lives of ease and vitality.

Part of the healing available to us in finding our voice lies in understanding the idea that living truth is a creative act. In order to truly find our authentic truth we must go beneath the conditioned thinking of our particular upbringing , and take on the challenging work of healing the wounds and cycles of violence that we inherited. Once we can tap into the inherent wisdom of our own truth and give it voice, we often have an experience of liberation and joy. When we express and create, and especially when we do so in community, a level of healing and connection becomes available that can assist us in becoming powerful voices for change in the world.
